In the Northern Song Dynasty, Qing Li invented the movable type printing technique of movable type. He was the first inventor in the world, 400 years earlier than the German J. Gutenberg type printing. Since then, foreign countries have successively developed screen printing equipment. In 1439, Güntherburg in Germany produced a wooden letterpress printing machine. Although the structure of the vertical spiral handprint printing press was simple, it took 300 years; in 1812, Germany's Konig made the first Taiwanese flattened letterpress printing press; in 1847, Hoy in the United States invented rotary presses; in 1900, made six-color rotary presses; in 1904, the United States, Rubel invented offset presses. Since the 1960s, lithographic offset printing processes with short cycle times and high productivity have begun to flourish. Lead alloy relief printing has been replaced by lithographic offset printing. Soft relief printing, stencil printing, electrostatic printing, ink jet printing, etc. have also been developed in packaging printing, advertising printing.
At present, the development technology of screen printing equipment is quite mature. Nowadays, screen printing equipment also adopts electronic automation to pursue higher production efficiency and provide more profit for printing companies.
